Since 2004, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin have been working on a synergy of success that translates perfectly for racing competition. The partnership is not just about supporting the best racing team. It is a matter of passionate dedication to the pursuit of excellence.
While Aston Martin Racing has won the GT1 class for the last two years, the team will compete this year at the highest level of endurance racing: the LMP1 category, competing against the proven speed and endurance of the diesel and petrol (new from this year) engined cars prototypes.
The team will compete throughout the year in the Le Mans Series (LMS), which opens with the 1,000 km of Catalunya on April 5, 2009. On 13-14 June 2009, Aston Martin Racing will once again be taking part in the most legendary of all endurance races, Le Mans. Its goal is to win the legendary trophy in this 50th anniversary year of their previous British historical exploit. In 1959 indeed, the DBR1 driven by Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori won overall Le Mans prestigious title.
No doubt that the new Aston Martin’s LMP1 cars will showcase the highest level of daring performance, a value shared by Aston Martin and Jaeger-LeCoultre, leading to exciting achievements.
