Foster + Partners has allocated additional shares in the business and has promoted David Summerfield to senior partner. The announcement was made last night at the practice’s 40th anniversary celebrations, held at the British Museum.
The extension of the share ownership from 15 to 48 will give the opportunity for a further 33 partners to become shareholders, so broadening the shareholder base. This move is central to wider plans for the future expansion and strengthening of the company.
The first six months of the current financial year have shown continued growth, with the practice winning more design competitions in the last six months than in any previous year and staff numbers rising from 900 to 1200 in the same period.
