The show suite is located at the Adorn Floor of Starhill Gallery, the prestigious destination mall in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city centre. The design philosophy of the show suite was inspired by the Danish element of “hygge” which embodies the warmth and cozy feeling in a delightfully appointed home. At the same time, the show suite depicts the inspiring environment of an art gallery – offering aesthetic, aural as well as visual pleasure to the senses, akin to the extraordinary, multidimensional experience of the Steinway & Sons series of sound systems.
The show suite houses two distinct spaces – a contemporary living room which features the Model C Music System as well as a home theatre sound system from the architectural Model M Series. It is Steinway Lyngdorf’s belief that the next two-five years will see the trend towards having top-end music and home cinema within a shared family living room as opposed to only the dedicated home theater rooms purpose-built for high-end installations today. Steinway Lyngdorf ushers this trend into its key global markets by offering excellent quality products which are beautifully simple to install and operate for the whole family. The second listening space depicted in the show suite features a dedicated music room which is a must-have for music connoisseurs.
The opening event encompassed a by-invitation cocktail gala for Kuala Lumpur’s music connoisseurs, social and business personalities as well as a private performance by Mr Alexey Yemtsov, a Steinway pianist who is a protégé of Maestro Vladimir Ashkenazy, a leading international Russian conductor.
