A success concretely represented by end-customer orders that will cover the entire production of the two models for this year and part of the next (ed.: the nautical year runs from 1 September 2007 to 31 August 2008). Azimut Yachts collected a total of over 100 end-customer orders during the Show, distributed over its broad range of Flybridge and Open yachts that boasts 20 models. “The sales success at the Genoa Boat Show for the two models presented confirms and rewards our strategy of innovation of the product range, which will lead to the introduction of 15 new models on the market in the next three years,” said Azimut Yachts CEO Federico Martini.

“An ambitious plan supported by continuous research in styling and new concepts.” The Azimut 58 Flybridge, designed by Stefano Righini, reflects in the sea-green color, dedicated to the first model, the beauty of the nature of islands and atolls and diffuses in the interiors of the saloon the luminosity of the external panoramas through huge expanses of glass and the new rectangular panoramic windows of the master cabin, for the first time openable. A masterpiece of luminosity and versatility on which Azimut Yachts introduces a clever new twist: the “I Boat®”, a system for adapting and applying the popular iPod™ to the yacht’s audio system through “application platforms” available in the yacht’s cabins that enable easy, immediate connection to the main audio system, combining the pleasure of yachting with the perfect sound track for a sea voyage.

The Azimut 95 Flybridge, in its almost 30 meters of length and over 175 m2 of space devoted to life at sea, sets new standards of Italian-made elegance. Everything contributes to the immediate sensation of pure, simple pleasure that one experiences stepping on board: the sunniness of its immense spaces, the natural light that floods every corner of the interior, the luxuriousness and elegance of its details. Dynamism and lightness are the dominant characteristics of the Azimut 95’s external lines, made supple and sinuous by the hull windows and the three big scenic windows on either side of the deckhouse that give a perfectly diffused luminosity. Attention to the concept of space is also expressed on the flybridge, the largest in the category: a real “agora” on the sea, a multi-faceted place for meeting, socializing and having fun.

The 20 models, from 39 to 116 feet, displayed at the Azimut Yachts stand – over 2,600 m2 of exhibition space on land in Piazzale Marina 1, plus the seven yachts moored at the adjoining dock and the three in the mega-yacht area – were seen by over 22,000 visitors during the nine days of the Boat Show. A steadily increasing interest is recorded on the part of visitors from the emerging countries, in particular India and China, where the recent orders of an Azimut 103S in Mumbai, an Azimut 68′ in Shanghai and an Azimut 98′ in Dalian in mainland China stand out. This last yacht will also be present at the coming 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Genoa was also the site to officially present an offer – called Master Peace – of a warranty extension to three years together with a 24/7 assistance service valid anywhere in the world that Azimut Yachts is now offering its owners. “The high standards of service offered all over the world by the Azimut Yachts distributor network are one of the reasons for our continuous and growing success. In countries where the passion for yachting is just coming into being, like China and India,” Ing. Martini added, “being able to count on a local, exclusive customer assistance service is one of the decisive factors in the purchase decision.”

During the Boat Show Azimut Yachts presented to its customers the innovative Easy Docking and Easy Stability systems which will now be available on the entire Azimut Yachts range up to 68 feet. Easy Docking allows fingertip control of mooring maneuvers: a simple joystick modulates the direction and power of bow and stern thrusters to turn the boat and move it boat sideways in the desired direction, automatically compensating for the effect of wind and current thanks to the integration of information from the compass and the on-board instruments. Easy Stability makes it possible to reduce rolling when the boat is at anchor, ensuring maximum comfort to the owner and his guests. With the boat stopped, in around 30 seconds large fins open in the keel in complete silence: at anchor the two mobile surfaces cut down on rolling by up to 50%. The system has also been successfully tried on mega-yachts. Both systems have been developed by the Research and Development Center of the Azimut Benetti Group. Azimut Yachts is part of the Azimut-Benetti Group, a world leader in the production of luxury yachts and the world’s foremost builder of mega-yachts. The prestigious Atlantis and Benetti Yachts brands also belong to the Group.
