The Revenge GTM-R covers all those bases for adolescents and adults who drive like adolescents. This swoopy tube-frame supercar has a 505-horsepower V-8 engine (from the Corvette Z06) stuffed into its center, in a vehicle that weighs barely 2,500 pounds, about 700 less than the Corvette. The GTM-R is the brainchild of Peter Collorafi, chief executive of Revenge Designs, a designer from Queensland, Australia, who has built tuner cars since 1980, including award-winning rides at the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Revenge plans on producing 100 copies this year at its unlikely facility in Decatur, Ind., each priced at $145,000. A company spokeswoman said the Revenge could go from 0 to 60 miles an hour in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 200 miles an hour. There’s a roll cage for would-be racers, six-piston brake calipers up front, 22-inch rear wheels, an adjustable air suspension and a sequential paddle-shifted transmission. Unlike some bare-bones street racers, the Revenge features niceties including a navigation system, premium audio system and rear back-up camera.

But for visual insanity, nothing tops the oversized carbon-fiber rear wing, which provides the downforce to keep the car planted at high speeds. Owners who want to make a quieter statement can opt for a body sans wing.

The company’s press release offers a slogan for this All-American supercar: Revenge is Sweet. Check it out, dude: showgoers who love cars but haven’t passed driver’s ed will totally agree.
