Hearst Tower in New York was honoured with the prestigious International Highrise Award today at a ceremony attended by Norman Foster in the Frankfurt Paulskirche. The jury praised the project for defying the “traditional stacking or the repeated extension of the same floor plate”, citing Hearst Tower as a “prototype for future high-rise developments.”

Muž, kterému vděčí Amerika i svět za mnohé. Muž, který dal světu desítky novinových a magazínových titulů, přinesl bulvární formu i investigativní žurnalistiku, respektive hon za senzacemi a zpravodajství přímo z místa dění. A také dal Americe nejdražší rodinný dům s cenou 165 mil. USD. Za všemi těmito počiny stojí vyzrálá podnikatelská osobnost Williama Hearsta, člověka, bez něhož by možná neexistoval ani český bulvární plátek Blesk.
