October 17, 2007 – On October 14, the 47th International Genoa Boat Show came to an end with a series of impressive statistics proving beyond doubt that this event has now become one of the most important events in the sector calendar. 327 thousand visitors and a marked increase in foreign attendances demonstrate just how far this Boat Show, organized by the Genoa Trade Fair and UCINA, the Italian Nautical Industry Association, has grown in terms of visibility and international fame.
At Genoa Itama clearly enjoyed the marked appreciation of the public, receiving yet more confirmation of the growing interest in a product that promotes and renews the prestigious tradition of Italian open yachting. This reaction can be seen in the splendid business results obtained at the fair, both in terms of sales to end customers, sales made directly by dealers and forecasts of new purchases to be made by dealers in forthcoming months to satisfy the growing demand for Itama yachts.
During the fair at Genoa the builder of the famous white and blue open yachts was the centre of considerable interest, a level of attention that the Genoa Boat Show has always dedicated to the most prestigious manufacturer in the motoryacht sector. This preference for the brand was mirrored by the number of celebrities who visited the Itama display areas and were clearly enchanted by the unique appeal of the timeless style expressed in the unmistakeable profiles of these craft. From politicians to important business figures and from show business personalities to sports celebrities, a huge number of visitors were eager to appreciate the quality, prestige and sleek elegance of the Itama yachts. Visiting celebrities included Pier Silvio Berlusconi, accompanied by his partner Silvia Toffanin, as well as Giovanni Malagò. The latter also attended the press conference in which the plans for the brand new SeventyFive, the project the shipyard is currently involved in, were unveiled.
After an overview of Itama brand activity trends given by the company CEO, Fabio Fraternale, Tilli Antonelli, the Itama president himself, stood up to give a detailed description of this new creation and its various features to an audience of journalists, sector experts and public. Marco Casali, the architect responsible for the design of the new yacht, was also present. This new yacht adds particular value to the Itama range as it carries into a new, and even more luxurious and sophisticated dimension, the well-known formula with which these yachts have always combined in perfect harmony, sporting spirit, class and direct, intense contact with the sea.
After this tiny taste in Genoa, the SeventyFive is a name that will soon be the talk of all the forthcoming international yachting events, offering a spectacular example of the company’s steady growth and faithful continuity of the Itama construction philosophy, “The pleasure of power”. That today focuses increasingly on winning over distant seas.
